Anyway, putting up 6000 dummy pages is going to be a pain.   There&#039;s a better way.
Whenever someone goes to one of those old pages, they will get a 404 Not Found.   It is possible to configure your web server to divert all 404&#039;s to your home page.    In Apache it is a matter of adding this directive:
