Ok, going to give a little scenario to help out 
name.com was running a really good site which i really loved and enjoyed. He suddenly closed the site and has has it go to error cant be found page ever since (about 9 months).
The domain “name.com” (example) has just now expired and i am thinking of buying it when the grace period is over.
Will i be able to take on the domain and reboot the site using a similar design and ideas – for example, if they concentrated on on the Simpson’s, would i be able to?
Is they any backlash with this? once a domain has been bought by someone else, does the old owner have no legal feet to stand on and cant tell me that ive copied ideas etc.
